Lust. Anger. Hate. Desire. Love. Happiness. Joy. iFeel.

What happens when an unknowing empath meets a pixie who wears leather, a snitch who is repulsive and a fiery angel who can literally set your soul on fire? A whole lot of emotional turmoil and one love story ignited.

Liv Christianni is isolated, alone, tortured and withdrawn, saddled with the torrential downpour of the world’s emotions. Accepting of her providence Liv has lost all hope, until one day fate steps in and spins the course of her life like a spiraling top. Hunted by a Spirit Stalker, Liv is forced to gain control of herself and her surroundings, threatened by the touch of her immortal love; she must find a way to survive both physically and emotionally. Can she find the courage to accept her true self? Can she love unconditionally cognizant of the condemning consequences? Can she rise from the ashes to become the person she was always meant to be?

Funny, witty, real, and poignant, iFeel rips into your soul, and sets your emotions on fire.

If you are a fan of Charmed or Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries or The Secret Circle this series is for you!

Overall, I found iFeel a pretty interesting read. Liv is a really cool character. Her whole life so far she thought she had a mental illness, but then comes to find she’s “magical, not mental”. She was a bit annoying at first when she refused to believe in magic, but finally she got it and allowed herself to accept who she is. And Justice, wow. Hot, literally. What else can you say about a Seraph (angel)? I enjoyed the relationship building between them even though thcomey tried to deny it and both said they don’t do love. Justice was infuriating at times and flips from hot to cold at the blink of an eye. Again, also, literally.

The villain in this story is the Spirit Stalker, who sucks the life out of people and leaves empty shells with no apparent cause of death. That is how Liv meets Justice – he is hunting the Stalker who just killed someone in a coffee shop Liv frequents. So the Stalker is pure evil and finds out who Liv is and decides he wants to devour her soul. No matter where Justice tries to hide her, the Stalker always finds Liv and tries to kill her, and almost succeeds multiple times. So here is where I thought, for beings that are supposed to be hunters of these demonic creatures, these Seraphs are not very good at their jobs.

The book had intervals of really cool action but in-between these were intervals of regular life that I found a bit dull. It was like, there’s a Spirit Stalker after you, why do you always talk about food? The side story with her best friend seemed kind of unnecessary and I kept expecting some twist to do with the new man in her life, but that never happened, so it was extra fluff. The write up compares this book to TV series like Supernatural – well when you claim to be like my favorite show, I’m gonna be a bit picky.

I also wanted to discuss the title, “iFeel”. Ok, so Liv feels the emotions of everyone around her as if they are her own, or even stronger. I get that, but the “i” was kind of strange – this isn’t an Apple product. I’m not really “feeling” this title. ha!

So I give this a good solid 3 stars to say I liked it, it wasn’t as good as I expected, but I did enjoy it and plan to read the next book in the trilogy soon.

Here are some quotes I really liked:

Only a few months ago, standing in front of thousands of people would have made me suicidal. But tonight, I can enjoy the holiday with my immortal, like any other normal girl.

And

You’re dangerous because you can see the real in people.

And this one is just.. hot.

“I want to feel you.”

“You feel me every day,” he pulls my hand to his lips and kisses the inside of my palm.

“No, I want to feel you my way,” I say uneasily. He stares down at me with mesmerizing eyes. They are so lustrous they even seem to glow in the darkness. He is contemplating my request.

He takes my hand from his lips and carefully moves it towards his chest; I can’t explain the fear I have from just that small gesture. The anticipation of what I will find excites me and terrifies me all at once. The last time – the only time – I felt Justice, he literally lit me on fire. As I apprehensively touch his skin, it washes over me. The tender warmth he holds inside, like I’m being wrapped in warm blankets on a cold autumn morning.

“Feel what you were looking for?” he asks.

“Yes,” I say, as I spread my fingers over him. The sensation is glorious.

“Good,” he leans down and kisses me, his lips holding the same warmth as my insides. Without even thinking, I wrap my arms around his neck and jerk him in closer.

This looks so great! Thanks for sharing with us! I adore that cover as well.
Did the author have any say on the design of the book cover? Also, who in the author’s life encouraged them to sit down and write their first book?
    Thanks for the giveaway!
