This quote is just one of the many examples of why I am team Eric and not team Bill all the way!!! I have not completely the series yet and have not watched past the 4th season of True Blood. I watched True Blood before I ever read one of the books and at first I was very put off because the books and the tv series are NOT the same. However, now I totally love Eric!!! The books are so much better than the HBO series.

Like you, I watched True Blood first and read the books second. The books are great, aren’t they? And book Eric is fantastic! And can I also say how much it cheers me to see my favourite, my best beloved, book in your background; Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.

Yes, the books are very different than the True Blood show. I enjoy both, but like you, prefer the books. My favorite male character in the books has always been Sam. I don’t care for him as much on the television series though. I’m not sure I have a favorite on that show. Maybe Lafayette.
Besides Sookie, Lafayette is totally my favorite!!! Too bad he plays such a minor role in the books.
I have only read the first book of Charlaine Harris, I really liked it. Bill was weird, I’m not sure if I like him ir not, but I can’t say much because I seriously don’t know what happens in the rest of the book. And I’m not even sure if I’ve met Eric befor… Oh well, Will have to read the rest soon to find out.
I haven’t read Grave Mercy also, but that line is sweet. Wishlist just keeps growing. 😉
I always thought Bill was weird, too. In the tv series and in the books as well. And since blogging, my TBR list has more than quadrupled!!!!
Though I’ve not read all the books, I have always been Team Eric! Even before they went to TV and that hot hunk of man portrayed him! Excellent choice!
Kimberly, I really didn’t like Eric at first in the True Blood series… It was the books that made me like Eric and then upon re-watching True Blood I decided Eric was a “hot hunk.”
