This quote is taken from a conversation Jace has with Dakota, a new girl he really likes. She is pressing him for answers because he refuses to date her when she knows that he likes her.  Jace is scared that he will hurt her the way he hurt his last girlfriend.  He is scared he is just like his abusive father.  I think this shows strength of character for Jace and at the same time it shows just how out of control he feels about his temper.  He does not trust himself.  In the second quite, Jace is talking to his ex-girlfriend. I like how he does not back down to Lauren. He knows that despite how he feels for her, she would enable him to hurt her again. If Jace wants to break the cycle, he cannot rekindle a relationship with Lauren.

So I haven’t read any relationship-y books this past week so I thought I would revisit this amazing book boyfriend! Also, since we met the cover model in Austin (and fawned over him) this weekend, I felt it was appropriate. Seriously, he is so pretty!
