LynnpicLynn’s Quote:

Two different quotes, from two different couples. In the same book. Because I can.

“Look,” he said, “I didn’t tell my dad, because I didn’t want to share you. Not just yet.” [Graham]

“I don’t want to share you either.” [Carrie] (… Kissing…)

“Put that in your book,” he dared me.

-Graham to Carrie

(Winter Sea by: Susanna Kearsley)

“If ever ye do find my pace too slow,” he told her quietly, “ye only have to tell me.”

Mr Morey to Sophia

(Winter Sea by: Susanna Kearsley)

I’m in the middle of Winter Sea – so if you’ve already read it, no spoilers! There are two couples, one modern (Graham and Carrie) and one historical (Mr Morey and Sophia). I couldn’t decide between Graham and Morey. Instead, I picked both quotes. I like the quote from Graham because the two are at the beginning of their relationship and they don’t want to share that with anyone else. Plus, Carrie does put a similar kiss in her novel! In Morey’s quote, the two are on a horseride together, and Sophia decides to race. But doesn’t actually tell Morey. This is at the end of the race. But clearly has a double-meaning for their relationship. Either man would make an excellent book boyfriend!
