LSBBTReview

Yes, that’s right. I’m reviewing a coloring book. And after the fun I had with this one, you can expect even more coloring book reviews in the future!

I’d like to start off by thanking the author, Annette Bridges, and Ranch House Press for the great swag pack that arrived with my books. A tote bag, colored pencils, a bookmark, and a lovely note. I really appreciated all of it, and used the pencils to color. Be sure to enter the giveaway below for your change to win your own swag pack!

I think that Oh, how the years fly by! is a great coloring book. Full of inspirational quotes. I especially love that the pages are based on actual pictures of the author and illustrator with their children. Knowing that these are real scenes makes the coloring experience even more personal.

I especially love the companion book, with the completed drawings. I’m normally not one for someone telling me how to color a page. But having the companion book to reference while coloring was very helpful. Is that part of the chair? or the log behind it? Not having to guess on the finer details freed my creativity.

Here’s my completed page. I had a blast coloring this!

  1. Love your coloring page, Lynn! you are definitely more patient than I was — I didn’t stay in the lines very well. Wasn’t it fun? Thanks for the great review!
