I finally read this. Finally. Finally borrowed the (amazing) audiobook from the library because Moon Called has been on my TBR and ShelfLove shelf forevah!

I actually have collected much of the series in print, and met the lovely Patricia Briggs at a book signing. But still it has taken me forever to get to reading this series, even though I really wanted to. So finally, I did.

And to my delight? It is narrated by my favorite narrator – the same lovely lady that does the Charlie Davidson books. I lurve her voices. Though, for a little bit I had to force myself to think Mercy, not Charlie, lol. But once I got it, I was sucked in.

I loved the story and world building immediately. It is a were book, but not just a were book. The main plot and conflict is about werewolves, but Mercy is a magical shifter Coyote and is a kick-ass chicka too.

I liked that the plot was twisted and the final reveal of the bad guy behind it all who had understandable personal motives was a good touch. Makes you feel conflicted when you kind of understand the villain, and also makes for a good story.

So yes, must keep reading and getting to know Mercy better. Or listening, because I love this narrator. Yes.
