Today I attended Mary Lindsey’s Houston release party for her new book, Ashes on the Waves, at Blue Willow Bookshop. She’s funny and cool and knows all her fans personally. So I really enjoyed it 🙂 Mary’s kids baked selkie cookies for the event!

She told us about how excited she was when she found out her cover would be created by Nekro, who is a super awesome artist. I mean how beautiful is this cover? He also created the amazing cover for Anna Dressed In Blood.
Mary also showed us how talented her daughter is. Look, she made the shoes Mary was wearing!
I even wore my mermaid earrings, not that you can really tell from my photo with Mary Lindsey, but anyway I did 🙂 I’m holding a stuffed Poe, who got to hang out at the release party with Mary.
