It’s Day 6 of the 15 Day Book Blogger Challenge, started up by Good Books and Good Wine.
How Rose Shops for Books:
My favorite way to shop for books is to actually GO to a book store. Especially if I have a book in mind I want to buy and a gift card in my wallet. There is no better feeling!!! I am getting addicted to shopping for books on my kindle now, too. It is soooo easy. I end up with way too many books and way too little money. Not good. I also enjoy going to discount used book stores. These places tend to be privately owned businesses and I can find some pretty interesting items such as a POD signed copy of Abbi Glines’ first novel, Breathe and a my absolute favorite paperback copy of Outlander by Diana Gabaldon:
How Julie Shops for Books:
I have an over zealous one-click-buy finger on amazon.com and have a hard time avoiding good sales. I definitely impulse buy. Otherwise, I buy books I actually plan on reading on a specific timeline, like for book club or if it is the next in a series I’m following. I usually order through my kindle, or if I really want to have the paperback/hardback for some reason I still usually order from amazon.com. Unless the grocery store has a better deal on the hardback.Or unless I go to a book signing and get that book specifically from the store hosting the author. Generally, I try to stay out of bookstores because they are dangerous for me. If it were up to me, my house would look like a bookstore. Books are pretty. Books make good wall decorations.
