Welcome to Chapter Break’s stop in Gliterary Girl‘s Summer of Love hop! We are a tour host with Gliterary Girl and are excited to participate.

I was trying to think up some summer reading recommendations for a romance theme, and then I realized I don’t really read summery romance type of books. My co-blogger does though. But in any case I thought I would recommend a few romance books I’ve read this summer and also link to some cool Goodreads Listopias for this theme.

Some standalone romance-y books I read this summer, sticking to those with a happy ending:

Here are some Goodreads listopias:

Now for the real reason you are here: the giveaway. Be honest, you know that’s why you’re following the hop 😉 I’m giving away a $10 Amazon gift card so you can go buy yourself a romance book of your choice to read before summer is over.

  1. I have really been wanting to read The Sea of Tranquility and Eleanor & Park because they both sound like great books. Thank you for the generous giveaway!!

I like ‘light / easy’ reads in the summer — romance, mystery; I’ve even tried some fantasy and sci-fi. I haven’t read the 5 you listed, Julie – maybe I’ll try one or two.

BTW – the email link kept sending me to Beat the Heat Read-a-Thon. But I am following by the other methods.

I don’t read a lot of “summery” romances anymore, but I would recommend the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. Thanks for the giveaway!

  4. I don’t read much romance, but this summer I did happen to read The Future of Us by Jay Asher and found it quite entertaining. It’s a light summer read that also made me ponder a little about how everything we do in life, no matter how small and seemingly insignificant, has future consequences.

Thanks for participating in the hop. This summer I am working my way through Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series.

A good summer read is Beach House No. 9 by Christie Ridgway.
    Thanks for the great giveaway.

  8. I’m in serious want of the Sea of Tranquility. And I just bought Flat Out Love! Can’t wait to read it (Did you read Left Drowning – SO good!)

    • Yes you must read Sea of Tranquility! I think you’ll really like it. I have not read Left Drowning. Based on some of the reviews I’ve seen, it didn’t sound like something I would enjoy heh. I love when reviews point out things the reviewer didn’t like, cause then I can avoid that read if those are the same things that would bother me.

      • It’s been on my TBR list for months, but I was holding out to get it in paperback.

Yes, it was quite intense, I can definitely see why it wouldn’t be for everyone. I still need to write up my review for it too.
