Read. Sleep. Repeat. hosted a challenge called ARC August. Here is our wrap up post.
Julie’s ARC Challenge:
ARCs and review copies read during ARC August:
- Fall of Sky City by S. M. Blooding (part of review tour) [Completed 8/1/2013]
- Shudder by Samantha Durante (part of review tour) [Completed 8/24/13]
- Elysian Fields by Suzanne Jonhson (part of review tour and from Netgalley) [Completed 8/26/13]
- Heavenly Hell by Aria Williams (part of review tour) [Completed 8/28/2013]
So I’m not going to bother repeating the list of all the ARCs that were/still are on my TBR, but let me just say it was much longer than this, and only two of the books on my completed list were on that list. I’m going to continue keeping track of my ARCs because this challenge helped me to understand how many books I really do need to prioritize. Maybe I’ll make a goal of reading one ARC/review copy after finishing 3 book club/personally chosen reads. What I really need is to make a reasonable reading schedule and to not try to take on more books that I can realistically read.
Rose’s ARC Challenge:
ARCs and review copies read during ARC August:
- Losing Hope (netgalley) by: Colleen Hoover
- Out of Breath (netgalley) by: Rebecca Donovan
- Real (hosted blog tour/author gave bloggers an e-galley) by: Katy Evans
- Eyes Ever to the Sky (netgalley) by: Katie French
- Love Exactly (hosted blog tour/author gave bloggers an e-galley) by: Cassandra Giovanni
I am happy to report that I DID complete on my arc’s listed above. Now if I could only go on and REVIEW them!!! That is the hardest part sometimes. I really enjoyed this challenge and it even made me go on and create a spread to keep my arc list organized. That then turned in to adding everything on my kindle to the spread sheet… and then all audio books and now even as I type this I am thinking, I need to just add everything from my library to that spreadsheet. hmmmmmm….. this could get interesting.
Awesome ARC August wrap up! It’s so much harder to review books than read books this would explain my bazillion unreviewed books.
