Every Thursday we are hosting a brand new meme called: That’s what HE said Thursday. For more info on what this meme is all about click here.
Rose’s Quote:
““D’ye ken that the only time I am without pain is in your bed, Sassenach? When I take ye, when I lie in your arms-my wounds are healed, then, my scars forgotten.””
–Jamie to Claire
(The Fiery Cross by: Diana Gabaldon)
I know. I know. I use Jamie and Claire a lot, but I HAVE been reading this book for over 45 hours now. (On audio it is 55 hours long!!!) So is it any wonder that I have Jamie and Claire on the brain? I just listened to this part yesterday and loved the quote. Jamie has been through so much in his lifetime. Torture, war, imprisonment, broke bones, famine, near death, sickness etc… and his body is more than a little marked from it. This is the first time in over 6,000 pages of the entire Outlander series so far, that Jamie has EVER admitted to suffering from pain. Also, how could I not use a Jamie quote to Claire when Starz just announced the casting of Claire yesterday!!!!
Julie’s Quote:
“I’m going to do what you’ve always wanted.” I say. …
“Don’t get so excited. I’m only going to kill you a little bit. It’ll be more like a ritual bloodletting.”
–Cas to Anna
(Anna Dressed In Blood by: Kendare Blake)
While most of the quoteables from this book are narration and not direct conversation, I thought this was a really good moment in the story because it is shortly after Cas realizes his feelings for Anna and shortly before the epic ending. And it is also a bit funny, because Anna the ghost has asked Cas to kill her, and he said he is only going to kill her a little, to lure the big bad into their trap.

Never read that book, but love the quotes 🙂 Have to check it out sometime 🙂
I love me some Outlander! I have Drums of Autumn coming up on my TBR list (perfect timing with fall being right around the corner) and I can’t wait to read it. I like who they got to play Jamie and Claire I can really see them working as the characters.
I’ll have to link up next week 🙂
–Kimberly @ Turning the Pages
Kimberly, Outlander is one of my all time favorite series ever!!! A few ladies from my YA book club are reading the entire Outlander Series right now. I am so excited about the Starz series.
I have never read the Outlander series but I look forward to watching the series.
I’ve actually not read either of these books yet. Anna Dressed in Blood has been on my TBR for quite awhile though. I really think I need to check it out sooner rather than later. 🙂
