He’s Amish.
His mouth left my skin, and he pressed his ear against my heart. His breathing was hard and hot. I could feel the heat from his entire body penetrating the thick polyester dress. A dress that I really wished I wasn’t wearing at all.
‘Oh, Rose- my Rose, I love you so much.’
So far this series has been interesting. I used to live in Western PA and it was not an uncommon sight to see Amish buggies on the road. Our Wal-Mart even had a hitching post along with the local grocery store! Every Sunday morning I could hear the wheels rumble down the blacktop stretch of road directly in front of my apartment. This book is YA and offers an inside glimpse into what that world is like. I especially like that it is told from the point of view of an “English” girl, Rose. Ha! Love her name! We also get Noah’s POV as well. And FYI, this is a book I received free from Netgalley. I hope I can get the sequel, Forever as it is also available on Netgalley.
