Betrayed by: Wodke Hawkinson
As they entered their six-car garage, Brook reached for the keyes to the Cayenne Turbo S. With its 520 horsepower, it was capable of handling even the most extreme conditions and Clark always insisted Brook drive it in the winter. Now, however, Clark placed his hand over her to stop her from taking the keys.
‘Why don’t you drive the Ferrari? This might be the last day of the year you’ll be able to take it out.’
Okay, so based on what the back of the book says and this first opening paragraph, I know right upfront that Brook’s husband is up to no good. I can smell this set up a mile away. Clark is going to get Brook hurt like that dude from the movie Fargo who sets his wife up to get kidnapped, but instead she gets hurts and everything gets messed up. Clark is a loser. Brook is going to get hurt and blah blah blah…. I shall read on.
He sounds like a creep just because he has a six-car garage. 🙂 And I suspect Brook is facing some foul play!

haha, just because of the garage? lol. and yes, you suspect right as far as Brooke is concerned.
You’re right — we know Clark has sinister motives. I think it would be fun to find out what he’s up to. Sounds like a story I’d enjoy.

Sandra, he is up to nothing good! I hate him (having finished the book already) This book was pretty intense for a while. Def not a light read. I stopped by and tried to comment on your blog, but I am not sure it posted. Or it might have posted twice. SORRY! Thanks for stopping by!
OK that is a set up if I ever heard one. Thanks for sharing. Here is my post: Mixed Book Bag
