Top Ten Most Unique Books I’ve Read (maybe the MC was really different, maybe it was the way it was written, a very unique spin on a genre or topic, etc.)
Rose’s List of Top Unique Books:
- The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. This book was very different than what I was expecting. I mean, its a book about cancer, right? So why was I laughing out loud while reading? Unique doesn’t even cover it.
2. Stole: A Letter to My Captor by Lucy Christopher. This is probably the only book I have ever written in the second person. Also, this book was different in that it made me actually experience Stockholm Syndrome.
3. Easy by Tammara Webber. What I found to be different about this book was the hero. He was the bad boy, yes. Nothing new there. But he was sorta emo bad boy and that was HOTT! I also liked how this book was did not shy away from the ugly.
4. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. This book is nothing if not unique. It does not even really fit into any one genre.
5. Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover. This book is marketed as not just a book, but an experience. It is the first book I have read that featured its own soundtrack (by Griffin Peterson).
Julie’s List of Top Unique Books:
6. Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi – This book was so uniquely written. I absolutely loved the writing style.
7. Cinder by Marissa Meyer – Come on, Cinderella as an Android? That’s pretty cool if you ask me. A really unique twist on the fairy tale.
8. Blood of Eden series by Julie Kagawa – It has vampires *and* zombies.
9. Stitch by Samantha Durante – A pretty cool twist on Dystopia by mixing up some genre and making it seem like a time travel/ghost story at first.
10. Otherborn series by Anna Silver – I’ve never read a book using the Astral Plane, let alone making it like a character. Pretty cool feature.
Great list 🙂 Maybe Someday made my list too, the added soundtrack added so much to the experience and made it sooooo unique. I also really enjoyed Easy when I read that. My TTT.

I agree, some of these titles I read & loved especially because of their uniqueness 🙂 I still wanna get to read the ones you listed and I didn’t get to, for the same reason.
