Top Books if you like TV Shows like True Blood, Being Human, etc: 

So if you enjoy TV shows with an Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance feel to them, you might like some of these series.

  1. Sabina Kane series by Jaye Wells (The main character is a half-vamp half-mage girl and has a lot of spunk and sarcasm. Also, her minion is a mischief demon in cat form)
  2. Shifters series by Rachel Vincent (Strong female characters kick ass, and a bonus that the characters are cat shifters.)
  3. Darkest London series by Kristen Callihan (These are great paranormal romances with an interesting magical twist. )
  4. Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost (The main character starts out half human-half vamp who gets the nickname Red Reaper because she hunts down and kills vampires.)
  5. Love at Stake series by Kerrelyn Sparks (Because these vampire (well, most are vampire) heroes are tough and strong, yet romantic.)

Top Books if you like movies like The Hunger Games (yes, I went there):

If you like dystopias with strong female characters, try these books.

  1. Birthmarked by Caragh O’Brien (Because it is a “smart” series and I really liked the worlds and issues brought series up in the various books.)
  2. Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi (Because you just don’t find writing like that very often.)
  3. Divergent series by Veronica Roth (Because even though the third book made everyone angry, it is still an interesting series.)
  4. Stitch series by Samantha Durante (Because things are definitely not always as they seem.)
  5. City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau (Because how would you like to live underground when all your supplies seem to be running out?)
