Top Ten Books I’ve Read So Far This Year

Rose review avatar   Rose’s List of Top books read so far this year:

  1.   Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
  2.   If I Stay by Gayle Formen
  3.   The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons
  4.   Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
  5.   A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin

Okay, so the above list are books that I have read this summer so far, but only If I Stay and A Clash of Kings are new to me. The other three are all rereads. I have not had a of time to read lately and I do relisten to my audiobooks. Also, my book club is reading The Bronze Horseman, so that is why that one is on this list.

Point of Retreat was good I liked it. I did not like the third book as much, but that is just me, I think, because a know alot of people who DID. Breakable!!!! I loved it. You need to read that one next!

Thanks Jessica! I liked my list, and then I saw Julie’s list and I was like, wait, I forgot about THOSE books!

Yea a lot of the books featured for this week’s topic are on my tbr as well. There’s only so much time for reading heh.

  1. I haven’t read that many books either, this year. Between studying and writing up reviews and commenting, it’s been crazy. I don’t know how other people manage it! Either way, looks like you had an awesome first week of summer with all those re-reads, Rose. 🙂 I have If I Stay waiting on my shelf right now so it’s great that you enjoyed it — makes me even more excited! And gaah, I’ve been dying to read the Game of Thrones series but I just never got around to buying it. I’m glad that the series doesn’t seem to be suffering from mid-series syndrome so far…

LOL. Laziness is and always will be a part of me. xD Ooh, TFiOS. I liked but didn’t love it, though I seem to be in the minority with this opinion. Still looking forward to watching the film, though it’s not out where I’m living right now. Meh. Have you seen the movie yet, Julie? And I see you have Shadow and Bone on your list! YESSSS. That series is one of my ultimate favorites so I’m SO happy that you enjoyed it! Now for the agonizing wait until Ruin and Rising is released. *tears hair out*

    Great list, you two! 🙂

Ruin and Rising is almost here though right? I waited to read the first two so that I wouldn’t have a huge wait for the final book. Or that’s what I tell myself when it takes me forever to get to reading a book. I thought TFIOS movie was pretty good, not as good as the book of course. We’ll be doing a review of it soon. I have so much stuff on my to review list omg!

I love rereading. I loved the book TFiOS. I liked the movie, but I do not know if it is ever a movie I plan to rewatch. It was good, but heavy, ya know?

  2. I don’t even want to start thinking about what my top reads of 2014 are. We’re only 6 months in, and already there’s been too many to count. I’m hoping to start listening to Gabaldon’s latest today, and I have a feeling that it’s going to be a very strong contender! Jamie & Claire always are. 🙂

Thanks for sharing your lists ladies!
