Rose review avatarRose’s Quote:

Aria stood and handed him Talon’s dagger.

‘No,’ he said. ‘You might need it.’

She looked at the knife, her throat tight with emotion. No roses or rings with him, but a knife with feathers carved into the handle. A knife that was part of him. She couldn’t accept it

Peregrine to Aria

(Under the Never Sky by: Veronica Rossi)

I liked this quote because it showed how much Peregrine cared for Aria without the flowery words or the nice romantic gifts. He gave her his knife and showed her how to use it. His gift could very well save her life, something a dozen long stemmed roses could never do!

  1. Seen this book everywhere! Veronica Rossi seems like a great storyteller and I can’t wait to dive into this series. It’s complete, right? (I think it is…) The quote is great, I don’t know the full meaning about that dagger but it seems important. And yes, I’d prefer something like that that can save my life instead a few flowers that only serve as a cute sight for my eyes. 🙂

My guy friend once thought to give his girlfriend a knife as a gift.. she was into collecting knives… he decided against it and got her a stuffed animal instead… I was the right choice for this case because turns out she was sorta obsessive and crazy. haha. I joke with him that he should NEVER buy a crazy girl a knife, let alone date one!

Stephanie, this was on my list a long time. I will admit, at first i was a little disappointed. And bored. I didn’t get the hype. I am rereading it now (well listening to the audio book) and am liking it more the second time through. It is a good book and so different from what I usually read.

Hope you like it when you get around to reading it 🙂 I LOVE your selection this week 🙂

I’ve had it on my TBR for a while too. Finally reading it now that it was selected for Rose’s book club. If you read it by next Wednesday maybe you can call in ? LOL

That would be cool! Skype with us or face time while we have book club. How cool would that be? You know what else would be neat? If book bloggers got together and created a book club where we all meet on line video conference or something and read a book together… okay nerdy me is shutting up now….

Actually Octavia (Read Sleep Repeat) tried to create such a club, but people weren’t showing up to the Google Hangout and it fell apart quickly. It was a fun idea though.

We’re reading this book for Rose’s book club this month. I might have a quote next week if I find another one hehe.
