–Adam to Mia
(If I Stay by: Gayle Forman)
Adam. Adam. Adam. This was awkward for me in the book. I mean, I just did not know what to think about Adam saying this to Mia. However, in the movie, it worked perfectly. So I know we just talked about this in our recent Chat Between Chapters post, but I really did not even get the hype over this book, until I saw the movie this past Sunday. My YA for Adults Book Club read this book and I was just not that into it. It was good. It was emotional. But I kind of felt just bland about it. Then I saw the movie and suddenly, I was in LOVE! Like I LOVE LOVE LOVE (three times is a big deal, ya know) Adam. So I went home and did what any newly smitten girl would do.. I looked up Adam on the interwebs… and guess what!? Although, everyone else probably already knew this, his name is Jamie Alexander Blackley. Now, anyone with the name Jamie is okay in my books, but Jamie Alexander…!??? Does this ring any bells for Outlander fans out there? So now I am in love with Adam, with Jamie Blackley, the actor and with his name…. here is one of my favorite parts of the movie for your Jamie viewing pleasure:

Loved the book! I wasn’t that into Adam until the last chapters of the book but maybe the movie will change my mind about him too. Have to see it soon. 🙂

The movie made me LOVE LOVE LOVE Adam! Hope you will, too!
I haven’t read that book, or seen the movie yet. I’m not sure if I will though I actually got this book confused with another book by the same title but a different author so I don’t think I will read it. But that is an interesting quote! 🙂

Yeah, the title does sorta sound like everything else out there. Thanks for stopping by and linking up!
I just bought this one at a little bookstore downtown and can’t wait to read it and at the same time and too scared to read it… 🙂 this certainly bumps it up though.

What a coincidence! I hope you like it. Like I said, I enjoyed it, but then the movie really made me love it.
I just went out earlier to watch The Giver and I saw If I Stay. The line was somewhat long but it was strange because I didn’t feel the urge to watch it or even read the book. I don’t know. Maybe, I am just afraid because I don’t want to bawl like a baby. And this one will surely render me crying my heart out. T_T

Yeah, don’t wear mascara to see this movie. I did. and I regretted that.
Skipping the book but will watch the movie. 1.5 hours of crying would be better as opposed to an entire day.

an excellent choice, I’d say.
That is the best line ever (the movie clip). Love that so much.
Yes, I really like this clip in the movie even better because it has more in it than just this movie clip, but yeah, best line ever.. real life boyfriends/husbands should take note.
