Lynn’s Quote:
“Are you waiting for an invitation?” I asked, eyeing him standing carefully outside my door. “Is this the part where you tell me you’re a vampire?” (Yes, this part is Bliss, but you need some context for the below quote.)
He chucked. “No, I promise the paleness is only because I’m British.”
AND
“Are you going to put me in your phone under some secret code name so that no one knows who I am when I text you dirty things?”
–Garrick Taylor to Bliss Edwards
(Losing It (Losing It #1): Cora Carmack)
I think we’ve already established that I adore Cora Carmack’s books. Her philosophy of awkward people need love, too, is very applicable to Bliss. She meets Garrick at a bar, where he is reading Shakespeare. What kind of guy reads Shakespeare in a bar? I’ll tell you what kind. The kind that any red-blooded girl would easily fall into lust with. With the blue eyes, and the blond hair. And the British accent. If you haven’t read this series yet, I don’t think we can be friends until you do.

Cheeky 😀 I like the quote you’ve chosen. 🙂

The books are fun. You should check them out, Deborah!
“Awkward people need love too” I love it! I would like this author. I get tired to too many beautiful/perfect people in YA.

Brenda, you should check out Cora’s books. They are cute! And she has another series (Rusk University) about football players if you are into sports.
You’re making me smile with all this Losing It reminiscing, Lynn. 🙂 Those are great quotes and yes, yes I would fall for a guy sitting in a bar reading Shakespeare!! Completely. Of course, I married one who only watched the movies. 😉 *hahaha*
