Every Thursday we are hosting a meme called: That’s what HE said Thursday. For more info on what this meme is all about click here.
Lynn’s Quote:
“He answered on the second ring. “Remington Steele, at your service.” (Nick)
“Remington Steele? You’ve got to be kidding.” (Kate)
“Is it too on the nose?” (Nick)
“I thought you were James Bond today.” (Kate)
“I’m trying to keep things interesting.” (Nick)
Nick grabbed her, pulled her close against him, and kissed her. There was some tongue involved and a little discreet groping.
“Zoinks!” she said when he released her.
“It gets even better,” he said. “I’ve got something you can wrap your hand around and really enjoy.” And he slipped a giant-sized Toblerone bar into the pocket of her sweatshirt.
–Nicolas Fox to Kate O’Hare
(The Job (Fox and O’Hare #3) by: Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg)
I’m going a bit unconventional this week by posting some conversations. I think you need the whole conversation for the full effect. The banter between Nick and Kate is great. I really don’t feel like writing a full review, so I’m just sharing a few of my favorite quotes from the most recent Fox and O’Hare book. And yes, the Remington Steele quote dates me. But that’s ok. Look him up kids. You can thank me later.
