Are there any authors you think would write an awesome book together? Share which authors you would love to see collaborate on a project.
Julie:
I’m sure there are plenty of authors who would benefit from a collaborative work, but off the top of my head I can think of two lovely ladies who I would love to see collaborate – Rachel Vincent and Sophie Jordan. I’ve read many of their books and have met them in person several times (Sophie Jordan lives locally to me). They’re even friends! I enjoy their storytelling styles and I think their talent for YA fantastical fiction would combine well in a collaborative story.
Rose:
I cannot think of any book I have read written by more than one author that made any real impact on my memory. However, I can think of a few people I would like to see work together to create something. What about Colleen Hoover and Cora Carmack? Or Tammara Webber and Rebecca Donovan? Or Abbi Glines and Jamie McGuire. I could see some great stories coming from these authors working together. What about Paullina Simons and Diana Gabaldon? That would be one tortured hero!
Lynn:
I`ve got nothing on this topic. I`m definitely not Becca Effin Mitchell with the mash-ups. Sure, I`ve read books with collaborative authors. James Patterson with all of his co-authors comes to mind. And I really enjoy the Clive Cussler/Jack DuBrul books. And I just finished a book by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg. I just can`t really think of any authors that I want to mash together. I`m going to randomly suggest Tammara Webber and Cora Carmack. They both write exellent contemporary romances and I think their styles would mash together well.

I’ve got nothing on this one! Absolutely nothing. Sorry to be such a worthless contributor today, but thanks for being a part of Booknificent Thursday anyway!

I’m not typically a big fan of author collaboration. I always liked the mash-ups between Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman and once I read a story written in letter form between two different authors (they made up a story as they went along writing the letters), but other than that, I think I prefer solo work.

It would be REALLY fun to see two authors who write two completely different types of books come together to write something. I wonder what that would end up looking like. Like a dystopian/contemporary blend or fantasy/mystery. Could be interesting! (Or a mess. LOL!)

That’s a great idea, I think a genre mash-up collaboration would be fun to see!
Yes! Maggie Stiefvater and Brenna Yovanoff. They already did some anthology together, but I’d love a full-length novel 🙂
