We are hosting a meme called: That’s what HE said Thursday. For more info on what this meme is all about click here. We are switching things up now and doing our posts once a month rather than weekly. The Linky will be open all month long and you are welcome to continue doing your post weekly and linking them up. Feel free to link up any of the posts you had but didn’t link up yet in November.
Lynn’s Quote:
“You’re not a monster”, I say. … “I was wrong. All those years. You’re a bully. And a snob. And a complete arsehole. But you’re not one of them.”
–Simon Snow to Baz
(Carry On by: Rainbow Rowell)
This reminds me of when Darcy tells Elizabeth that he loves her, despite all of the things he shouldn’t love about her. It’s not particularly romantic. But to me, Baz just being liked for himself is enough to make me swoon.
And fair is fair, so here’s a Baz to Simon quote.
“You were the centre of my universe,” I say. “Everything else spun around you.” … “Looking at you was like looking directly into the sun.” … “You were the sun, and I was crashing into you. I’d wake up every morning and think, ‘This will end in flames’. ” … “I choose you,” I say. “Simon Snow, I choose you.”
–Tyrannus Basilton (Baz) Grimm-Pitch to Simon
(Carry On by: Rainbow Rowell)
Baz and Simon may not be the most romantic of blokes, but they still get me, right in the feels.

I love it! I bought Carry ON but haven’t read it yet. I’m looking forward to it! ~ Bel
It’s worth checking out, Bel!
I love your reference to P&P, Lynn. And you’re right – the quotes are similar and equally swoony even if they aren’t so romantic. 😉
