Let’s all celebrate “come in from the cold” day, and read a book instead.
What is your favorite way to read a book in winter time?
Julie:
So if you know me, you know that I hate the cold. I much prefer to curl up with a warm blanket and a cup of tea, and a lovely book. A recliner or the couch will serve just fine for a good spot to read. I even enjoy having one of my furry (or the non-furry) critters joining me in the warm snuggle. *sigh* I do miss the days of curling up with a book and I hope to be able to get that back someday.
Lynn:
Truth time. Yes, Houston isn’t so bad in the winter. I moved from Chicago, so I know bad winters intimately. This is about as bad as winters get here.
And this looks pretty good to me. A nice, cozy seat. Near some light. Though, my sliding patio door is drafty. So maybe not so close! And usually a blanket with some hot chocolate.
I’m jealous that Lynn escaped the cold Chicago winters and made it to Texas. Someday I hope to live somewhere warm!!

I sit pretty close to a window but I have a wood-burning stove on the other side of me – and this is my favorite place to read in the winter. I can watch it snow while I’m cozy and warm. 😀

I love curling up in my bed under the quilts to read. XD Although it’s summer now, so it’s more like melting in the heat on my bed while trying not to be stuck with sweat to the pages. hehe. Reading + hot chocolate is an AMAZING combo though.
Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!
Oh you Southern Hemisphere people have it all backwards 😉
Our bedroom is on the south side of the house. In the winter, I love laying in bed on a sunny day reading and dozing with the kitty-babies.

Curled up, under a blanket, cat on lap (we call it ‘COL Syndrome’) and a warm cup of coffee.
