#ShelfLove Challenge 2016
We’re co-hosting the #ShelfLove challenge again this year so join us and read more of the books you already bought!
May 2016: It’s almost time for summer vacation! Plan your dream literary trip. You can go some place real (Scotland, anyone?) or fictional (or Middle Earth, perhaps?).
Julie’s Challenge Update:
I think it would be lovely to take an Outlander trip to Scotland. One of the things I love about that series is the wonderful locations described. That would be a fun trip to take one day.
I also would love to take a New Orleans bookish tour. I mean, so many books are set in New Orleans, that it would really be fun to visit the places and get a feel for the culture.
How is my challenge going? Well, I have read 7 books so far from my #ShelfLove shelf. Not too bad I guess, but I do need to step it up.
Lynn’s Challenge Update:
I am definitely pro Scotland and New Orleans. Both of those would be excellent book vacations.
I’m also for visiting Nebraska for some serious Rainbow Rowell stalking. I’m sure she wouldn’t mind!
In the fictional world, I’ve love to visit the Ancient Egypt of Elizabeth Peter’s Amelia Peabody series. Traipsing around the desert, finding and excavating ancient tombs. That seems like it would be an excellent vacation. I’d just need to remember the sunscreen.
I’m at 14 books so far for our challenge. Go me!
How’s everyone else doing on their challenges? Or any good vacation ideas for us to live vicariously through?

The Outlander trip to Scotland sounds fabulous. Sign me up for that one! And the Rainbow Rowell trip to Nebraska? Genius! 🙂
Let’s plan a trip to England and Scotland! Sounds wonderful.
Lynn, Nebraska is a great state to visit. We drove through there a couple years ago and visit Willa Cather’s hometown.

I would say England or Italy for RL locations- some of the country house mysteries I’ve read have me hankering for an English countryside tour. 🙂 And Italy just because. For fictional locations, I can’t think of any place better than Middle Earth really. The New Zealand filming locations might be awesome.

Scotland and New Orleans are both on my lists, ladies. Such history in both places! Nebraska…I’m not so sure about that one. 😉 But I actually read a nice duology set there so maybe. *haha* My post will go up soon!
