Let’s chat about cookbooks or cooking sites. Cause you know we all love to eat.

Julie Review Avatar Julie:

I don’t read cookbooks exactly, but I do read various cooking sites and blogs. Lots of blogs. Why do I read so many blogs? But that’s beside the point – lots of blogs like to share amazing food porn either in roundups or their own dinner creations for the week. There are also great food sites like All Recipes and Recipe.com and the like. And lots of those recipes are simple and quick, which is how I like it, so I tend to print those out. And make a binder of my own. So my go to “cookbook” is a 3-ring binder full of printouts. Yep.

And you know we can’t have a post without sharing some lists. Because lists dangit, lists!

Cook Books. Cooking magazines. Cooking TV shows. I’m into them all. I love flipping through them. Reading recipes. Looking at the pictures. Thinking about elaborate recipes that I’m never going to make. I have a book shelf full of cook books and magazines. (Yes, I might have a problem).

I especially love old cookbooks. The hand-me-down kind. With notes and stains on the pages. Like this one of mine. Which was my mom’s. And I’ve used it faithfully since I moved out on my own.

These are two of my favorites.

Pies are the best. And what I love about both of these is that the background stories about pie. And pie recipes. Especially American Pie. It’s like a travel journal in search of pies. The best kind of travel journal!

I even have a Goodreads Shelf for cookbooks.

How about you? Are you into cookbooks as well?
