What are some books that stay with us forever. These are books we just cannot forget.
Julie:
Some books hold a special place in my heart just based on the time they found me.
The Twilight books got me back into reading after a long, long break. They will always be books I can’t forget, as they rekindled my love of reading.
A children’s book that stuck with me even though I read it as an adult is Wonder. What a spectacular story, so much hope and so many lessons.
A series that I can’t forget, for different reasons, is the Unwind series. The creepy factor is off the charts with this one, and it still makes me shudder just thinking about it. Which means it was an excellent book idea.
Lynn:
I agree with Julie on Twilight. I have always been a reader. but Twilight helped me connect with other readers.
The series that stands out for me is the Phedre books by Jacquline Carey. These are some of the first high fantasy books that I read. I hold all other high fantasy to the standard set by these books.
The Dirk Pitt series by Clive Cussler and the Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters were books that connected me to my parents. I was a rather angsty teen. And about the only thing that didn’t make me angry when talking to my parents were these books.
Hopeless by Colleen Hoover, Easy by Tammara Webber, and Losing It by Cora Carmack were my introductions to New Adult. And again, the standard to which I compare all others. I’d read anything by these women.
How about you? Are there any books that you just can’t forget?

Code Name Verity was an amazing audio book!
Twilight did the exact same thing for me. I hear lots of people say this—I wonder what it was about those books? And you KNOW my love for the Unwind series. I’m kind of obsessed.
Colleen Hoover is a huge favorite for me too, though my favorites are Maybe Someday and Slammed.

I don’t really understand why that specific book series got us so worked up and into loving reading. Maybe it was timing (we’re the same age, right)?
The one book I will never forget is The Book Thief. Unbelievably beautiful and heartbreaking. It’s one of my favorite books.

I read and loved Wonder. I read it a few years ago (as an adult) and Auggie and the other characters really stuck with me. I think everyone should read it!
