A curious toddler loves to play… especially with his mommy’s smartphone!

When Mommy finds him using her phone without permission, it’s the perfect teaching moment.  Mommy reminds her little one that what matters most in life is time together filled with love and attention.
Her simple reminder: Put down our phones.
Praise for #BabyLove: My Toddler Life:

“This light-hearted reflection on social media habits is a great tool for starting discussions with young children.” — Forward Clarion Reviews (5 Stars)
“Dehghanpisheh’s illustrations and text are simple, colorful and charming, and many families will relate to the question of how, and how much, to integrate technology into their child’s day.  #BabyLove: My Toddler Life is a fun and timely picture book for 21st century preschoolers. — BlueInk Review
“I can’t wait to read this to my 2 year old grandson.  This book is his life curious, sweet and funny.  His mommy has a collection of his photography on her phone.  Priceless. — Kindle Verified Purchase

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
As a Mom of a Toddler, I can completely relate to this book! My 2-year-old son is obsessed with my phone and has become very good at taking selfies. Sometimes he even tries to pry the phone out of my pocket! So yes, a perfect book for us to read together – if he ever chooses to sit still long enough to read a book with me again! I got the paperback version, but this would be much better as a board book due to the age of the child it is intended for (wouldn’t want him to accidentally tear it!) so it allows for a lesson in “be gentle” and “soft hands,” and of course, “mommy’s phone is not for stealing.” I was kind of expecting a little more time spent on the “don’t steal mommy’s phone” lesson in the book, especially after the phone is *gasp* dropped! The book keeps the atmosphere and mood light and positive and is more playful than showing discipline, but opens the conversation so us parents reading the book to our children can include any necessary commentary to help get the point across to our child.
The book is a cute story about the daily life of a toddler – full of activities and fun with mommy. And of course, stealing mommy’s phone and running off with it. I loved the bright and vibrant illustrations and how the photo inside the phone reflected just a small piece of what was going on around in the bigger frame of the pages. That was such a great way to represent saving memories in photos but also remembering to look up and see what else is going on around.  Technology has made it possible to capture everyday moments easily, and those are really the best memories we want to keep! And once the moment is snapped and captured, we can go back to enjoying and living in it.
