Let’s chat about the books that totally should have had a spin-off series
Julie:
Most of the books and the world I’ve loved ended up having spin-offs, which is fantastic and fun. I love when I don’t have to leave a beloved world behind. Here are some books that could use some more stories in the same world, even if with new characters.
The world Charley Davidson lives in. I realize Charley is a special goddess and what not, but there are other factors at play and I’m sure there could be other characters with special abilities or clairvoyance that could have a fun adventure.
How about Sookie’s world? Especially with the TV show we had some great world building and could follow another main character through some interesting situations.
Lynn:
My spin off dreams are already coming true! I’m excited Deborah Harkness is working on a spin-off of the All Souls books! Marcus’s story is on the way!
And Sarah J. Maas is working on more stories in the Court of Thorns and Roses books. I cannot wait for all of these books!
What about you? Any spinoffs that you want to read?
[…] this topic because spin-offs are a special treat. We had a previous chat between chapters topic on books that should have a spin-off. But what about those that already do? How do we feel about […]
I’m hoping that Richelle Mead eventually writes a spinoff of the Bloodlines Series. She’s left herself wide open for one!

Agree! Even though it was already a spin off, she inserted another story line at the end!

I can’t wait for more from Sarah J Maas. I just finished book 3 in ACOTAR and loved it. I would love more of Throne of Glass as well.
Out of these series, I’ve only barely started two…Charley Davidson and Sookie Stackhouse. :/ But from what I’ve read, I’d have to agree. Harkness and Maas are both on my tbr though. 🙂
