Goodreads
Princess Monroe is more than JUST a princess. While she likes “princessing,” she finds it a bit boring. Monroe is more interested in learning, playing and building stuff. She has dreams of traveling to Paris, rescuing puppies and becoming a scientist. In her spare time she likes to rock climb, dance and garden.
Quite frankly, the only issue for Monroe is there are only 24 hours in a day! What she knows for sure is she can’t possibly find what makes her happy while she’s taking care of a prince. So instead of being saved by Prince Charming like every other fairytale, Monroe is going to save herself first.
Review
What I loved about Princess Monroe is the lesson to little girls (and really, anyone) that you can be anything and anyone you want in life. Princess Monroe is royalty, so there are certain expectations for her behavior and “appropriate” activities. But she is everything but a normal princess. She wants to do it all, to try it all, and experience it all. And the best part? The support from her mother is tremendous. The illustrations in this book are lovely and really show Princess Monroe’s excitement and curiosity about life. This is a great children’s book to empower young ladies and to teach children of both genders to be true to you.

- Tell us a little about you: Addition to official bio above — I dance Bollywood, I love to travel, I believe in conscious parenting and also, unicorns.
- Please tell us a little about your book: It’s a book about a princess who follows her curiosity instead of Prince Charming.
- Why did you write the book? I was tired of reading about damsels in distress because I was not raising them.
- Who is this book for? Every girl who has dreams and goals and wants to hear her inner voice. Also, every parent who is raising that girl.
- What is your favorite part of the book? The cover! It was the part of the book that came out exactly how it was in my head.
- When did you start writing books? The first summer I spent with my girls. But I have been writing “books” at home forever.
- How is this book different from other books in your genre or niche? Monroe does not need to be saved. She is whole and complete as she is.
- What are your other books and where can they be found? Coming soon (hopefully) will be another Monroe book, and maybe some others.

Thanks for the review. I really like the idea of a girl following her curiosity instead of a boy!
