We are hosting a meme called: That’s what HE said Thursday. For more info on what this meme is all about click here. We will be doing our posts once a month rather than weekly. The Linky will be open all year long and you are welcome to continue doing your post weekly and linking them up.
Lynn’s Quote:
“I was simple enough to think, that because my faith was plighted to another, there could be no danger in my being with you; and that the consciousness of my engagement was to keep my heart as safe and sacred as my honour. I felt that I admired you, but I told myself it was only friendship; and till I began to make comparisons between yourself and Lucy, I did not know how far I was got. After that, I suppose, I was wrong in remaining so much in Sussex, and the arguments with which I reconciled myself to the expediency of it, were no better than these:—The danger is my own; I am doing no injury to anybody but myself.”
–Edward Ferras to Elinor Dashwood
(Sense and Sensibility by: Jane Austen)
I’ve been in a not-romance reading mood lately. This month, how about a #throwbackthursday to some old school Austen. I always seem to gravitate to Wentworth or Darcy, so how about some Edward Ferras love this month instead! I like this quote because it shows how sometimes, love comes upon us unexpectedly. We could be with someone out of obligation, but then, our soul mate appears, and the world is sent all topsy-turvey. Elinor and Edward are both very reserved, but their love runs deep.
