We thought we were alone.
Lyka Bay was supposed to be the only town of lycans.
But…it’s not.
After the wolf I thought was wild shifts into a teenage boy, he leads me and Keaton to another town of half-cured lycans, and we’re exposed to a whole new world.
We thought the lycans were monsters…but there’s something worse.
And if we can’t figure out how to cure them, there’s a good chance they’ll kill us.
Note: Recommended for listeners ages 17+ due to language and sexual content.
Hi, I’m Lola! I’m a book lover with a *slight* werewolf obsession and a massive book addiction. I read a ton, write a ton, and have an unhealthy relationship with both Red Bull and chocolate. My books are always about new-adult characters, and I love putting twists on common romance tropes!
Avie is an audiobook narrator living in her off-grid tiny house in rural Eastern Canada, surrounded by forest and chicken friends, and honeybees. She loves books so much she’s listening to one almost every minute she’s not narrating one (she also narrates as Aven Shore). She narrates live on Discord with other romance narrators on the Haven server. She is longing to travel and hike in mountains again, and dreaming of sleep in the lava fields of Iceland under Northern lights again, her favorite place in the world. Her past lives include being a carpenter, firefighter, tax accountant, and competitive snowboarder.
At Audiobook Empire, audio reigns supreme, narrators are hailed as heroes, and headphones are worn with pride.
Marrying pomp and circumstance with quality you can count on, Audiobook Empire is a full-service production house that produces and promotes audiobooks with gusto.

I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Audiobook Empire. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.
Though I did enjoy this book, I wasn’t as enamored with this second book as I was with the first. While it makes sense our two main characters are spending seggsy time getting to know each other, that honestly felt like the main focus of at least half the book. First their will-they-won’t-they tension and then it went NSFW fast. I did like how they work together to get to know each other and gain trust as their relationship builds, so there’s no instalove but true friendship. But like I said, I get it as the natural progression of their story once things calmed a small bit. Before things got crazy again.
And when I say crazy, they got really crazy. Another pack? And what they wanted to do with Kass! OMG. How brutal, self-centered, and uncaring for other people/Lycans are these lycanfolks! It’s like it wasn’t enough the people of this town wanted her gone and tried to kill her until she brought them the cure, now this new town full of a different group of lycans is doing what to her? Just too much crazy going on in one poor girl’s life. I tell ya. And her mom’s sudden change of life plans and reveal was a bit too out of the blue for the storyline to feel cohesive to me. Too many shock factors all at once.
But enjoyed Kass feeling true to her world and her nature by running with the pack and learning more about herself and other lycans. I will say the bombshell of Kass’s gift was pretty amazing and explains why she’s done everything she has so far. I’m looking forward to the next/final book to see what happens next. Will she unite the packs? Start a new pack? Go off and live a normal life with her new friends? We’ll find out.
As before, I really enjoyed the audio narration. The voices, the pacing, the emotions. Great work!
