Julie’s 2022 Audiobook Challenge:
I didn’t meet my goal for 2021. (Or 2020.) So I thought you know maybe I’ll try again for the same level in 2022. This year has to get better, right? She said hopefully. She was wrong.
My goal:
- Binge Listener (Why read when someone can do it for you) 20-30
My update: I signed up for an aggressive review for 2 series at 3 books each over the month of June! So while the rest of the year I hadn’t read many audiobooks, I listened to 6 in June! So yay for that but boo for only reading 2 more after. Only 7 completed total audiobooks this year (and one in progress) is shame shame.
I am gonna totally pick a smaller goal next year.

Lynn’s 2022 Audiobook Challenge:
I’m sticking with the same goal of Binge Listener this year. Hopefully I can keep it up!
My goal:
- Binge Listener (Why read when someone can do it for you) 20-30
My update: I ‘read’ 60+ books this year. 47 of which were audio. Clearly I have exceeded my goal! I can’t seem to find myself sitting still long enough to actually ‘read’. But give me a good audio book and I can listen and accomplish other tasks. I’ve also discovered the sweet spot of 10-12 hour books. Those are a lot easier to commit to than 30+ hour books. Audiobooks for the win!
My Top Audio Books of the year are series reads:
- Finlay Donovan by Elle Cosimano
- Veronica Speedwell by Deanna Raybourn
- Audible Originals – Moriatry, Sea in the Sky, and Cut and Run were all exceptionally well done. Plus you cannot beat free!

this is such a creative challenge! im sure people will love it
I liked seeing all your book covers together. I have only tried listening to an audio book once–it was nonfiction read by the author. I had to go back many times, however, because my mind wandered. I think it’s great that you can keep focused and enjoy audio books so much!
