SYNOPSIS

Priya Echo’s Adventure is an epic fantasy adventure inspired by Greek mythology. The star of the show, Priya Echo is just your average girl at university … but you know … also slays evil wizards and saves the universe.

Priya is a shy and nerdy lab scientist, when one day she decides to test an experiment out on herself, and enters The Chamber. In the room, she falls asleep, and is reborn in a magical world beyond imagination, the Echo Realm.

Priya awakens in outer space as the goddess Echo with strange new abilities. Soon enough, a pantheon of gods emerges, The Fiefdom, with each member called a patron. She has many adventures in the Echo Realm, then one day awakens again, and escapes the room.

As Priya returns to normal life at university, she meets new friends, a boyfriend, and a professor, each of whom is a patron in the Echo Realm. Then one day a powerful wizard arrives at the university, the ruthless Telenon. Priya soon learns the man seeks to take the entire world’s magic for himself.

Priya shatters a mirror with her telekinesis and combines the shards to create the Mirror Sword. Telenon sends his minions to defeat her. In order to protect the university … and the universe, Priya must become the strongest hero ever!

1. Share your process for worldbuilding

One day at college I was sitting outside the classroom on the floor, waiting. A girl from class decided to sit down beside me. I was surprised that she wore a peacock feather dress that day and I never forgot it. Later on, I decided to create a character who is a queen in a peacock feather dress. I created an entire planet for her to rule, where there are peacocks everywhere.

2. Share 5 tips about writing

Tip one – Your strength is your poetic side, so let it out

Tip two – Be super excited about where the story is headed, in order to hook the reader

Tip three – For each character, make an entire chronology of their journey

Tip four – Try to create a “formula” like a recurring sitcom episode

Tip five – Make your main character three-dimensional

3. Tell us what makes your characters unique 

My characters have alter egos. If you have seen Wizard of Oz you know that the characters in Oz are really everyone from the farm. In my story, the characters at the university likewise have alter egos in a magical world.
