Survival of the Wolves
Pack Pledged, Book 3
Date Published: 10-31-2025
Chosen by the great wolf, Fenrir, and in possession of his amulet, my bonded and I are expected to single-handedly prevent Ragnarök. Spoiler alert, we’re just as clueless as everyone else. Turns out the gods don’t believe in leaving Cliff Notes.
Fending off attacks from the crooked Alpha and searching for a cure for the illness attacking our females, we’re pushed to our breaking point. With the Alpha hitting our vulnerable spots like a battering ram, we’re on the defensive and the run.
If we can’t expose his corruption and gain control before he turns the pack against us, it’s game over. Bringing him to heel means facing our demons, creating allies, and revealing hidden secrets. Are we powerful enough together to pull off the impossible and make the gods notice us again?
It’s a battle for the wolves we have to win.

Hardest Thing About Character Development and how to combat it
I think the hardest thing about character development is giving yourself the space and time to learn who they are before you dive into writing. Allow your character to have space to grow and develop as you write. Remember, the first draft is you telling yourself the story, so being flexible is a must. Think of this creation as a new friend. Sure, you might feel like you’ve known them your entire life, but there’s plenty to learn. Don’t forget to let them be their true selves. It’s when they’ll shine.
Spend time with the character in your head. Think about their likes and dislikes. Are there any stories behind what shaped them? I know you might be thinking it’s a waste of time. Not so! You can use this as extra content for your newsletter later.
Make a playlist, write some shorts from their point of view, or featuring some of their core memories. Try to see the world through their eyes, and highlight what makes them unique. The more work you do before hand, the easier it’ll be to capture the vibes they give off, and remain consistent throughout the story.
I find character sheets help to. Go deeper than the surface questions. Ask yourself what their fears are. What goals do they wish to accomplish. How will they grow throughout this story? Use this knowledge as an anchor that helps guide you as you write.
