2025 Audiobook Challenge
Join Caffeinated Reviewer and That’s What I’m Talking About for the annual audiobook challenge.
Challenge Details
- Runs January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025. You can join at any time.
- The goal is to find a new love for audios or to outdo yourself by listening to more audios in 2024 than you did in 2023.
- Books must be in audio format (CD, MP3, etc.)
- All genres count.
- Re-reads and crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed.
- You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads, Facebook, etc. I recommend creating a shelf on Goodreads titled 2025 Audiobook Challenge. You can keep track and link the shelf.
- Grab the button and do a quick post about the challenge to help spread the word. You can post on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, BlueSky, Threads, Mastodon, your blog etc. about the challenge.
- Updates plus a giveaway will be posted twice during the year. The first update will be July 5, 2025, and the last update will take place on December 27, 2025. You’ll have one week to link up and share your progress and enter giveaway.

Julie’s 2025 Audiobook Challenge – Year-End Check-In:
Audiobooks are my favorite way to read, but with no commute and little alone time (I spend most of my work hours on meetings) it’s hard to find time to listen.
I do pay for Audible and have also fallen in love with Libby app getting to borrow audiobooks from the many libraries I have joined.
My goal:
- Socially Awkward (Don’t talk to me) 15-20
- My Precious 30+
My initial goal wasn’t extravagant or minimal. It was realistic and it was an increase from the goal last year since I beat my 2024 audio goal (which was a mini baby goal of Stenographer)! However, by mid-year I already beat this 2025 goal! So I increased my goal.
My End of Year Check-In:
I’m really excited to see how many more books I have devoured this year. I think it’s mostly due to the stressful year and my complete disassociation with real life. I have escaped into SO many books. I have exceeded all my goals. And here we are, December, and I have again blown my goal out of the water. Way over 30+! Dare I say it? I’m at the next level up! That’s right! I have logged 50+ books! Thank you, let me take a bow because I am so proud.

Lynn’s 2025 Audiobook Challenge – Year- End Check-In:
I hit my 50 book goal just under the wire with a short story. Go me! Interested to see if I can hit that 50+ goal next year!
My goal:
- Marathoner (Look Ma No Hands) 50+
But I’m going for it! I guess we’ll see if that’s a doable goal or not in 12 months.
My Mid-Year Check-In:
Well, it’s the middle of the year and I’m at 27 books, which is (just barely) half my goal. On track so far! I just have to keep up the momentum and not listen to too many long books. That’s how the stats get bogged down.
