For this discussion post, we are joining the Tell Me Something Tuesday challenge run by Jen at That’s What I’m Talking About.
What are your blogging/reading goals for the new year?
Julie:
So since I am still catching up, we’re a week late on this prompt. This was technically last week’s prompt but that’s OK! We set our goals at any time!
My reading goals are informed by my results of 2025, which may or may not be realistic for what my 2026 will look like. But that’s OK!
- Audiobook challenge 50+ audios (only because I listened to 50 in 2025, so why not go crazy and try again)
- Reading challenge: 100 books (and that was before I realized GR was double counting some of my ARCs from Kindle.. I technically completed 109 books in 2025, so 100 books for 2026 might not be too ambitchous?)
- Write my reviews within 24 hours so I don’t forget the vibes.
- Give myself permission to DNF more often (already DNF’d one this year).
My blogging goals for this blog and the Insta are more of the same.
- At least one monthly discussion post (which is separate from our monthly cover chat)
- Resume a few TWHS posts.
- Bring back Books Taught Us (at least one!)
- Grow the Insta to 5k (I’m at 1.4k now, is that a doable goal?)
- Post more carousel posts on IG.
What are your goals?
Lynn:
Honestly, I’m not much of a goal maker. Yes – I have the audiobook goal. And a Goodreads goal of 55, which I upped from last year. Julie has a good point on writing reviews before forgetting. GOOD POINT as I have a review from September I’ve been putting off writing. Since September. My main goal for this year is more reading, less doom-scrolling. I’ll also go along with Julie’s goals for discussion posts, TWHS, and What Books Taught Us. Maybe even some book to movie reviews. Project Hail Mary is coming out soon. And I am psyched for that!

I like your idea of matching last year’s goals. I’ll double check I’m following on Insta to put one more number in that plus column. 🙂
