We’re chatting about covers on Chapter Break. ‘Cause you know we all judge books by covers, whether we admit it or not. We judge the style, the color and font choices, and just the overall look. That might not keep us from reading the book, but we do still judge.

This is kinda a cute cover for the season. I like the tricolor heart, but the solid pink of the cover is a bit much.
I like the dog, dogs always make things cute. The little paws are cute too. Of course the couple on the cover is a given, and the art is well done. Though what is it with women always being drawn in heels. Do you think a veterinarian walks around floors covered in pet fur in nice shoes?
The font choice is boring, the black and white border is simple and the font itself is nothing special.
It’s a decent enough cover. Nothing special, but cute enough for a valentine’s holiday related read.

Hah. Totally agree with Julie’s comments about the high heels. What vet is running around in those kind of shoes! Maybe she’s sitting at her desk and not treating patients.
I agree this is a cute romance cover – tells the story of what’s happening. The colors on the cover work well together, with the teals and the pinks. The paw prints make a cute addition to the cover.
The title and font are easy to read, if a bit simplistic. Honestly, I’d take that over some wild font where I have to squint to figure out what the title is.
Overall, an effective cover.
What are your thoughts on this cover?
