God Denied: A Novel

by Ellenmorris Tiegerman

In a novel of startling relevancy, with the recent assassination of right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk, Dr. Ellenmorris Tiegerman has written the second of her past life mysteries with God Denied.

When a conservative news commentator is murdered on the eve of his controversial campus appearance, Professor Ashford Connor finds himself at the center of a storm over free speech, moral responsibility, and truth. As tensions rise, Connor begins to suspect that the roots of the conflict stretch far deeper – perhaps even into another lifetime, when he and others were members of the resistance in Nazi Germany.

Blending the political and the spiritual, God Denied asks: Are we destined to repeat our past mistakes, or can we finally awaken to something greater?

Guest Post: All About Writing

Readers often ask me about where the content for my books comes from?  I think it is important to explain that I have written two types of books.  The first type was university textbooks that have been used widely by students across the country.  The process for writing these books was evidence- and research-based taking a tremendous amount of time reading scientific journal articles and clinical studies.  So, I was basically reporting on clinical work that was up to date appearing in various textbooks and journals.  I have to admit that I enjoyed doing this, but as a reporter, there was not much creativity.

The second type of book that I wrote was fiction-based and required a completely different process of generation.  For my Past Lives Denied Series, which is a Trilogy, I relied heavily on my personal experiences, teaching at the university and functioning as a professor with students and colleagues.  I created an outline of each book and generated a chapter summary which I found to be very helpful in the long run.  I got up every morning during the pandemic at 4 a.m. in the morning and sat down at a computer to write for one hour.  I gave myself a time limit so that I felt less stress about requiring a specific number of pages.  Whatever I wrote, I wrote during that time period.  When the hour was up, I closed the computer and went to the gym.  I did not go back to the book project during the course of the day, so I confined myself to that one-hour period.  I found that this helped with the creative process because I would think about the chapter that I was working on over the course of the day.

Writing creatively is very different than academic research-based writing.  I never felt any pressure writing textbooks, but I did feel a creative energy writing Past Lives Denied.  I used people in my life as central characters in my book and incidents that had occurred for content in the story-telling.  Perhaps the one thing that I can share with all of you is the fact that I had a childhood experience which caused quite an issue in my family with my Father directing me never to talk about the situation.  This incident remained “sealed” for many years until I met Dr. Brian Weiss at a training seminar in upstate New York.  Dr. Weiss has written many, many books on past lives and regression therapy.  After I spoke to him at the seminar, I decided to write Past Lives Denied, and my new book, which will be coming out shortly, God Denied.  The Denied Series, which is my Trilogy, is all about the journey and the struggle to acknowledge and accept the reality of past life regression.  Writing these books has transformed my life and given me an opportunity to share the possibility of a reality that is “hushed hushed” within our culture and society.  I hope you enjoy reading my books.

About the Author: Dr. Ellenmorris Tiegerman

I have been a Professor at Adelphi University for many years and written many clinical and educational textbooks for undergraduate and graduate students studying in the area of child language disorders. I had started writing a novel several years ago and it sat collecting dust until I attended a training seminar with Dr Brian Weiss at the Omni Center in Rhinebeck, New York. What a transformative experience that was for me! The week just flew by as Dr Weiss lectured about past life regression therapy and past lives. My experiences during that week changed my whole viewpoint on life in many different ways. To make a long story very short, I took out the manuscript and finished the murder mystery based on past life theory. I am so grateful to Dr Weiss for his extensive research and exciting teachings! My heroine Caitlyn is a clinical psychologist dealing with haunting and mysterious nightmares that challenge her faith and sanity. The murder on the campus of Coronado University triggers her journey into the discovery of past lives!
