So this is a list of some very famous authors I’ve heard of (and some who’s books I actually *own*) but have not yet read.

I’ve only read 2 authors on your list. We had a box set of the Chronicles of Narnia growing up. I loved reading it with my mom.

I haven’t started the Game of Thrones books either. I’ve been watching the show though. I’m hoping to start the series this year.

Oh I have yet to read George R.R. Martin’s series, but I really want to check it out once its complete. The wait between books is so long I’m wary of starting it now.
I’ve read at least one book by the other authors you’ve listed. The Narnia stories are fantastic as are the Little House on the Prairie books, though I read those as a child. I hope you get the chance to at least read the ones you own.

I’ve only read 3 authors from your list, so no worries. I read the *Little House* books in 3rd grade, all 9 of the Laura-penned series. (I wonder, sometimes, if I should read the newer ones that are penned by other authors.) I read all 4 of The *LotR* books (including *The Hobbit*) in 3rd grade as well. I read *The Chronicles of Narnia* series during my 5th-7th grade years. Funnily, those are really the types of books I like, anymore.

I have read one Mary Higgins Clark book, ages ago – can’t even remember it 🙁 And I have read the Narnia books, too. Some of the others you mention are on my TBR.

I’ve only read C.S. Lewis from that list. I want to read The Lord of the Rings sooo much, but I kind of keep putting it off. The movies are so cool, I bet the books are as well.
As for famous books/authors I have never read, I’m afraid my list is too long. Jennifer L. Armentrout and Marissa Meyer are two of them. 🙁

Don’t worry, I have not read any of those too! I own The Hobbit and I think 1 Mary Higgins book.
GRR Martin.. those books are just overwhelmingly tooooo big for me to consider right now.

I’ve never read any of the authors of thrillers (not my genre), but I cannot believe you haven’t read Narnia! I’ve loved those books since I was like 5 y.o. 🙂

I know, I feel like I didn’t read the right stuff as a kid. I didn’t read Harry Potter until this past year! What?? Now I think I need to make a Narnia reading plan lol.
