Julie Review Avatar Julie’s Review:

I skipped reviewing the 5th book in the Bloodlines series (Silver Shadows) due to the general depressing nature of Sydney’s incarceration with the Alchemists. Let’s just say the Alchemists are quite brutal and do awful things for their beliefs. The ending leading into the final book was awesome though. Because Adrian and Sydney are one of my favorite couples. Also, the fifth book ends with the announcement that someone very, very important is missing, so we know to expect the final book to bring it!

I’m going to shake things up a bit and instead of just writing paragraphs, this review will be a list!

These are the things that makes The Ruby Circle super awesome fun time great series finale:

  • Sydney! She’s super smart, super resourceful, and fights for people’s (human and vampire) rights. She also is willing to put herself at risk to help save someone she loves. Also, her magic use in this book is exciting.
  • Adrian, the tortured bad boy hero we all have grown to love by now. His Spirit ups and downs really made me nervous about him losing his mind to Spirit madness, like so many others.
  • Rose and Dimitri! YES we get to hang out with them again!
  • Super amazing surprising turn of events having to do with Spirit and Damphirs. Ooh that story line was a fun bombshell.
  • The ending that Sydney and Adrian get, while not what they were expecting, fits well.
  • The dual POVs narration, I like that. This is a great audiobook, also.

Picking up a series book out of order is probably very confusing heh. Though I do feel like she does a lot of summarizing to catch you up in each book.
