We’re chatting about covers on Chapter Break. ‘Cause you know we all judge books by covers, whether we admit it or not. We judge the style, the color and font choices, and just the overall look. That might not keep us from reading the book, but we do still judge.
We have a two-for-one cover chat this month. Mostly because we couldn’t decide which one we loved more. They are both gorgeous!
I love when authors have a style theme for their books even if they’re not in series. You can tell from the covers they belong together on a shelf.
I love the font. The font is so pretty, curvy in the right places, blocky, and easy to read. Very nice.
The imagery is fabulous. The bottle in the first book and the rose in the second. Wow. Gorgeous artwork. The vivid but also muted colors. The swirls. I do like swirls.
I would snatch these both up and add them to my shelf! The premise of both is a gothic fantasy tale and I’m all for it! ALLLLL for it! Give me both of these!
Well, both of these covers are gorg.
Of the two, I really love SING ME FORGOTTEN. The bottle. The gold color scheme. The swirly-ness. The whole cover works for me.
Granted, I also like the cover for A FORGERY OF ROSES. The charred\lava-y rose really catches my eye. More swirly and more gold.
Both book covers really follow a theme, like Julie mentioned. And that works for me!
I certainly clicked on these covers to read the descriptions. Success for the designer\author!
What are your thoughts on this cover?
I definitely agree that these could easily be in a series together. Sing Me Forgotten is my favorite of the two, but I really like both covers.

Agreed, Nicole! We like both as well.
