Let’s chat about our favorite foodie characters.
Julie:
I think we absolutely have to start with Julie from [easyazon_link identifier=”031604251X” locale=”US” tag=”chapbrea05-20″]Julie and Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously[/easyazon_link]. There is nothing more foodie than spending a year working through your favorite cookbook while saving your life.
Then there’s Nastya from [easyazon_link identifier=”1476730946″ locale=”US” tag=”chapbrea05-20″]Sea of Tranquility[/easyazon_link] (one of our favorite YA novels here) with creation of cakes at Sunday dinner.

Lynn:
Goldy from the [easyazon_link identifier=”0553584707″ locale=”US” tag=”chapbrea05-20″]Goldy Bear Culinary Mysteries[/easyazon_link] series by Diane Mott Davidson. She’s a caterer who solves murders. Right up my ally!
Theo from the [easyazon_link identifier=”B002CMP96E” locale=”US” tag=”chapbrea05-20″]Tea Shop Mystery series[/easyazon_link] by Laura Childs. As a tea drinker, this is one tea shop that I would want to hang out in, despite all the murders!
[easyazon_link identifier=”B00FJFAUHO” locale=”US” tag=”chapbrea05-20″]The Cupcake Club series[/easyazon_link] by Donna Kauffman is a great dessert after all those murders. Fluffy frosting and swoony romance in a cupcake shop.
How about you? Any favorite foodie characters?

I forgot about cakes in Sea of Tranquility. One of my favorite foodie books is Heartless by Marissa Meyer!
oh yes! Why didn’t I include that!!??
The two books I thought of right away were:
Hassan from “The Hundred Foot Journey.” Food is a huge part of this book, as it’s about chefs and restaurants. (I didn’t love the book, but it’s definitely a “foodie” book.)
Also, Minka from “The Storyteller” by Jodi Picoult. She is a baker and there’s a recipe for her rolls at the back of the book. I haven’t made it yet, but I’m planning on it.
I run a link up for reviews of foodie books every month. You can fi d out about all kinds of great books.
