2026 Library Love Challenge

So we’re joining this challenge at the end of Summer Semester, but that’s fine! We’re both huge fans of using our libraries and getting our audiobook fixes through Libby. So why not join another challenge to share the library love!

Join the Library Love Challenge hosted by Angel’s Book Nook & Books of My Heart. 

Details

The challenge will be YEAR-LONG & you pick your level.  There are also mini challenges.

• Winter Semester: Jan. 1st, 2026 – April 30th, 2026
• Summer Semester: May 1st, 2026 – Aug. 31st, 2026
• Autumn Semester: Sept. 1st, 2026 – Dec. 31st, 2026
• Audiobook Challenge: June 1 – July 31
• Library Bingo (with COYER): September  1 – October 31

It’s up to you how much you participate and you can join anytime!  The SIGN-UP will remain open until Dec. 2nd, 2026.

Levels:

• Dewey Decimal: Read 12 books
• Thrifty Reader: Read 24 books
• Overdrive Junkie: Read 36 books
• Library Addict: Read 48 books
• Library Card on Fire: Read 60+ books

 

Specifics:

• The goal is to find your love of your local library and to read at least twelve (12) books from the library, but you can read more.  While twelve is the minimum; there is no maximum limit.
•  Any format will work for this challenge (prints, eBook’s, or audios) as long as you checked it out from the library, it counts.
•  Books can be any genre (fiction, nonfiction, romance, fantasy, mystery, thriller, horror, etc.).
•  Crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed, including re-reads.  The goal is to support your local library and save money.
•  Please use #LibraryLoveChallenge when sharing your reviews, library pictures, etc.

I do have a library shelf on my Goodreads, though not a separate one for each year. So far in 2026 I have already read 12 library books! So yay I meet this challenge already. So, overall goal? I’ll go to the next level. Wish me luck.

I am a STRONG advocate for the library. Just recently trying to convince coworkers who buy books to get library cards!

I don’t have a Goodreads Read from the Library shelf, as I don’t really track books I’ve read outside of my read shelf. I guess I’ll think about tracking those books!
