Here at Chapter Break, we don’t always write a full review of every book we read. Well, now we decided to do these monthly wrap-up posts with roundups of our reviews this month and mini-reviews to fill in the gaps. Enjoy!

Hounded (Iron Druid Chronicles)I read this on recommendation and it is awesome! Remember how I’m a huge fan of the sarcastic sassy Charley Davidson series? Well, this Iron Druid protag is the male equivalent!  He’s sassy, he’s funny, and he’s quite awesome. I thought about doing a separate review but I’m lazy. The story is fun, lots of fae shenanigans. Epic enemy battle. A fun pet character. Also, the audio narration is fantastic! Definitely have a new series to devour.

A Pressing Engagement (Lady Darby Mystery #4.5): I love the Lady Darby series! And a few weeks ago, the next one in the series popped up on Netgalley, so I thought what the heck and requested it. And then realized I was a novella and a novel behind. Whoops! My bad! So now I’m playing catch up. A Pressing Engagement takes place the day before the wedding of Kiera and Gage. I love how, in spite of their pending wedding, Kiera and Gage are still off solving crimes, being true to themselves. This was a great addition to the series, if a bit short!

As Death Draws Near (Lady Darby #5): Great story. Adorable Gage and Kiera interactions. And a trip to Ireland to solve a murder. Plus, I learned why Kiera is still called Lady Darby, even though she and Gage are now married. I’m caught up with the series and ready for my Netgalley of the next book in this series!

Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda: This is just stinkin’ adorable. Loved it!

Feversong (Fever #9): Well, I’m officially over this series. I wasted more than 3 weeks reading it. 3 weeks I could have read at least two other books. Too many POV’s, I think I counted 6 or 7? I lost count after awhile. Too little plot to hold my attention. I even contemplated quitting. But I’m stubborn. I skimmed the last 250 pages just to find out what happens at the end.
