Chat Between Chapters: Series I really need to finish soon

 

So we all know we get behind on series. Which series do we really need to catch up on and finish this year?

My reading has been super sporadic and irregular. I used to devour series at a time, but life is keeping me otherwise occupied. Here are some series that I still have on my finish list.

• House of Night. I kind of gave up after yet another beloved character got killed. But the series has continued and I want to know how it ends. I’ve read so many already (8  in fact, plus a few novellas) that I kind of need to get the rest.
• The Hollows. Ok I loved the first book, and meeting the author was fun. I kind of lost my way not being able to get into the second book, but there’s so many of them that I want to give them another go. Especially if I can get the audio.
• The Dresden Files. The first few were fun so far, and I’m enjoying the narrator (Spike, hehe) so I need to get to the others. Glad they’re available at the library.
• Mercy Thompson. I loved the ones I read so far. Plus the audio narrator rocks! Gotta get back to these.
• Dragon’s Gift series – I read and reviewed the first 5 here. That was the first series. Then I bought both spin-off series and I need to read those.

I start so many series, but then never get back to reading the next books. So much so I started a Goodreads shelf specifically to remind me of which book to read next.

As for series I really want to finish this year, how about these:

[easyazon_link identifier=”1619637537″ locale=”US” tag=”chapbrea05-20″]The Edge of Everything[/easyazon_link]: I LOVED the first book. And I’m super excited about the second. But it’s not available on Audio or at my library. I keep putting off reading it. But I really do want to read it.

I’m not even bothering to mention the series that have no end in sight (I’m looking at you, [easyazon_link identifier=”B000FC0SJ6″ locale=”US” tag=”chapbrea05-20″]Stephanie Plum[/easyazon_link]. Cough. Cough.)
