We’re chatting about covers on Chapter Break. ‘Cause you know we all judge books by covers, whether we admit it or not. We judge the style, the color and font choices, and just the overall look. That might not keep us from reading the book, but we do still judge.

Wow. I for real don’t know how I feel about this cover. It’s beautiful in a cringey way.

I love the gothic feel of the cover. The eerie darkness of the sky. The dark blood-red color effects.

The girl, both beautiful and quite scary. The title, calling her a badass female bounty hunter, is interesting.

The moon though? Looks like it’s stabbing into her. That blending didn’t work for me. Maybe it needed to be shifted over so it wasn’t so centered.

The eagle or raven at the top is a bit confusing and seems out of place. Again, super centered

The genre is right up my alley though – a fast-paced urban fantasy. Yep, that’s what I like.

My gut reaction to this cover is a big nope. I am freaked out by the bird and the mask\skull (not sure which).

I agree with Julie on the centered aspect of the moon stabbing into the cover model. Or maybe she’s hanging onto the moon?

I do like the red\black background and the twinkles on the font of the title. Those are pretty cool.

I’m not into urban fantasy, so this one would be a pass for me!
