Feature for Aug 16, 2013 – Share something you’ve learned about book blogging or just blogging in general in the last month.

This past month I learned that being organized is key to getting read what you need to get read and discipline is key to reviewing what you read.  Sometimes I get so behind or miss out on something I really wanted to check out, whether it be a book signing or free galley or author event and it is because I avoid reading my email like the plague.  However, reading my email is key to remaining organized, which is key to accomplishing my goals. I also learned that when dealing with difficult people while on vacation, opt out of a full blown argument and read a book instead. Especially when said difficult people, taunt, “Go hide in your room then, little girl, and read a book.” Excellent suggestion. I think I might. And I did. Read three books in one day. Oh yeah!

In the last month, I learned how to use a link-up script like inLinkz for memes. I also learned that I need to set more realistic reading and blogging goals for myself and avoid biting off more than I can chew. Ooh, also I learned it isn’t as bad as it seems to publish a not so positive review. Also, I learned quite a bit about myself as a blogger while participating in the 15 Day Book Blogger Challenge.

    Your learnings are all spot on! I wish I could get to organizing my schedules properly but I am a procrastinator so you can imagine my misery when deadlines are approaching.

    And to that so not positive review, YES! You shouldn’t be afraid of posting a negative review because you are not the only one!

    Being organized IS key! I’m still working on that, and getting reviews ready and scheduled to post. I wish I could cut my post time down..it takes so long for me to draft a post. Although the GR HTML does help with reviews, I just make the pic bigger and add my rating stars. 🙂
