Final Blue Lines

Blue Lines

by Toni Aleo

Opposites do more than just attract in Toni Aleo’s latest Nashville Assassins novel about a very bad boy and the good girl he can’t resist.

The instant Piper Allen sees Erik Titov, she wants him—wants his rock-hard body, sure, but the strength and mystery that lies behind that superstar hockey jock demeanor, too. So when he sidles up to her at a bar and slinks his arm around her waist, she’s lost. What follows is the wildest night of her life . . . followed by inevitable heartbreak the next morning. And then, a few weeks later, a very big surprise: two blue lines on a pregnancy test.

Only a check to the head could make Erik fall for a nice girl like Piper. But since their crazy-sexy night together, he’s been trying to forget about her alluring body by falling into bed with every woman in Nashville, and it’s not working. So when Piper shows up at his house with a baby-bomb to drop, it doesn’t take much for Erik to suggest the nuclear option: marriage. While it’s supposed to be all for show, the second they say “I do,” the ice between them starts to melt into sizzling steam.

Includes a special message from the editor, as well as excerpts from these Loveswept titles: Taking Shots, Trying to Score, and Empty Net.

I love the series! I agree that they have real problems so when they get to the end it’s that much sweeter. I also love when other characters from other books show up. I love follow up.

  2. Gina McNicholas

Love the covers of all your books in this series. how many all together will there be?

  3. Amber

What inspired you to write this series? Then entire series is full of amazing romances that sound like they sweep you off your feet. 🙂

Hi Toni, Finished Blue Lines last night and I just loved it. So happy the Assassins series is doing so well. Heard you in an interview recently and I never laughed so hard. You seen so down to earth and honest about your writing. It’s fun getting to know the writer behind the book. I wish you continued success.

  5. Hi Toni!!! <3 ya! Anyways, do you have any other books in the works, or just brewing in your brain besides the Assassin series? Maybe one for Tucker's brother from Let it Be Me *wink, wink*

  6. Sara B

I am so excited for Phillip’s book! I sense a very deep story there!!!

Can I just say as well, that your books have given me a new appreciate for the men of hockey. Hot damn, they are awesome.

  7. Patricia Moran Arnold

OK so 2 questions Please tell me there will be more then just Phillipp’s book left to come? and 2 what is the one thing you do not like about watching Ice Hockey?

  8. Adriana Noriega

Hi Toni Welcome. You know I love all your books I love your writing. What I want to know is if your chosen sport to write about wasn’t Hockey what other sport captures your interest ???

    • Toni Aleo

Thanks so much!!! Love you!!!!!! Ekk..I don’t know, I was just telling my husband that I didn’t like any other sport but hockey!!! lol…maybe Football? Idk. I’m really picky! hahaha

    • Toni Aleo

I didn’t! I had no clue what Hockey was until I met my husband in high school. he played and loved it so much that I soon fell in love too!!!

  9. Marcy Shuler

Personally, I’m too clumsy to skate, but I sure do like these hockey players. 😉

As a hockey lover, do you also read books featuring sports? If so what are some of your favorite authors and titles?

      • Chanpreet

I’ve read and enjoyed Rachel Gibson and Sawyer Bennett. I’ve not read anything by Jaci Burton or Deidra Martin but will definitely check them out. Thanks for the recommendations!

  11. Timberlee

This book is so good. I really like the fact that Toni doesn’t write about the feel good stuff. Her characters have really life issues that we ALL deal with & if we don’t we know someone in our life that is or has went through it! I’m looking forward to more books written by Toni. Keep writing & I’ll keep buying!

    • Toni Aleo

Thank you so much. You know I’m glad that you took the time to say that because reading reviews I find that people don’t like characters with real life issues and its a pain cause I don’t want to be the same kind of author, I want to be different. I want to be me. Thanks for loving me <3

  12. I love every book in the series but Erik was not my favorite hockey player. Piper worked miracles and had the patience of Job with him, which did make for a beautiful tension filled story.

    • Toni Aleo

Thanks! I wanted Erik to be completely different from the others. I wanted him to piss you off and make you feel 🙂

  13. Annette

I have fallen in love with the Assassins and their families. Great stories and very well written. Cannot wait to see who is next, Is Phillip going to finally settle down and find his perfect woman?

  14. Julie

Welcome Toni! Thanks for taking over the blog today 🙂
Can you tell us a bit about your inspiration for this series?
Also, do these books build on each other or can each be read as a standalone?

    • Toni Aleo

Thank you so much for having me! Sorry it took me so long to get on here. Been a very busy day and this is the first chance I got to sit down!!!!
The inspiration for the series comes from my husband and the Nashville Predators. I love the aspect of Hockey, I love the men and I think mixing the two is pretty fabulous!
The books can be read as a standalone but they do have past characters, so its fun to read the whole thing to find out about each character 🙂

      Thanks again for having me!
