Every Thursday we are hosting a brand new meme called: That’s what HE said Thursday. For more info on what this meme is all about click here.

Rose review avatarRose’s Quote:

‘I’m beginning to think cookies is a code word for something else.’

‘Maybe it is.’ He tugged on my bag again as he took a confident step back, forcing me down another step.  ‘And just think about it.  If cookie was a code word, whatever it symbolizes, it’s been in your mouth, sweetheart.’

Cam to Avery

(Wait For You by: J. Lynn)

I liked this book, especially the beginning. Cam was charming and sweet and unpredictable to me as the reader. I kept wanting to know what Cam was going to say next. Especially loved his commitment to his pet… Raphael.  This book has several swoonworthy moments.

Julie Review AvatarJulie’s Quote:

What I am trying to say is that I want to put my personal feelings for you aside, so you have the opportunity to see if anything can deveop with my brother.

Avery to Meghan

(Wings of Shadow by: Anna Kyss)

So… this is a brother giving up his chance at developing a relationship with a girl he’s into, so that his twin brother (who has had a pretty awful life ever since they were separated at the age of 3) can have a chance. How noble. Also, a little over the top, but we see plenty of times in this book where Avery sacrifices for his brother Kiernan.

  1. Ooh, I’m going to have to check out Wings of Shadow. 🙂 And fun fact…JLA said, at a signing, that Cam can’t really cook. His cookies were a total fluke! *haha*

  2. I’m trying to bump up my reading list Wait For You because every time I read a quote about it, swoons start to kick in. Imagine when I actually read it?! 😀

Wings of Shadows sounds very interesting, I’ll have to check it out as well!

Melissa, It was good. The ending was a little predictable, but I suppose all books get that way after a while, right? But Cam was definitely worth the read. I enjoyed the book a lot.

  3. I was NOT expecting cookies to take on such a perverted twist when I first started reading quote #1. LOL It’s not even noon yet, and already my mind is in the gutter. Thanks for that. 😉 I thought quote # 2 was about some weird love triangle at first, but upon second read I realized that it’s actually kind of sweet. I love noble characters!

Carmel, I was not expecting cookies to “go there” either, but that’s Cam for you!
