One of the best tips I’ve heard from author is to get your story out while it is fresh in your mind, then focus on revisions, revisions, revisions. There are a few grammar rules to keep in mind from the start, just so it is easier to review and edit later. Today I’m sharing this lovely infographic from Grammarly that teaches us writing issues to avoid in our favorite visual way.
The wordiness one is the one I struggle with the most. I just know I will have to edit a lot of my phrasing after I am done.
Ha – wordiness is the hardest to avoid! I always WANT to say things succinctly, but it never ends up that way!
This is such a neat list, Julie! 🙂 Wordiness is what I struggle with most (motormouth that I am…) But I try to keep it in check, both in writing and conversation, lol.
